27th August 2013

Hi Everyone,

It's fantastic to be back at school! Miss Haigh  and I are really looking forward to working with you again this year.

We have all settled into our new class and are getting used to our new routines. It has been lovely to welcome all our new children to St Cuthbert's. We have all been looking after them in the class and out in the playground and our teachers are very proud of how kind and caring we are.

We started our 'Crumpoles Go Camping' topic. Last week we made some cool crumpoles with moving arms and legs and, just like us, they are all unique! We have been learning about place value in Maths and have been playing some active maths games on the Smartboard to help us with this. In Language we wrote all about ourselves. At home we chatted with our mums and dads to see why they thought we were special. It was lovely listening to each other when we talked about this in class the following day.  A couple of children forgot what mum or dad said but we were able to think of lots and lots of things to tell them.

We hope you will put some comments on our Blog page so that we can read them together.
